Biography:

A former G-2 U.S. Army intelligence operative, Werner Juretzko was apprehended on an authorized military espionage mission behind the Iron Curtain. He was sentenced to 13 years of incarceration for so-called "crimes against Article 6 of the Constitution" of the German Democratic Republic. He spent six years of imprisonment in the infamous underground torture chambers of the Stasi secret police in Berlin, finally gaining release in 1961. He is the European Affairs Director for The Cold War Museum.
