Biography:

In 1994, Jay Carter, Jr. founded Carter Aviation Technologies (Carter) and began the development of slowed-rotor/compound aircraft technology, combining the best characteristics of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. Carter has now refined its' second SR/C prototype. Jay's formal training is in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. Jay also worked briefly at Bell Helicopters, where he contributed to the design of the V-15 tilting prop rotor.

Saturday, 7/31/2010 - 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM - Forum Pavilion 11 % REMOS Aircraft - Map Carter's Slowed Rotor/Compound Aircraft Technology - Carter has made significant strides in refining their Slowed Rotor/Compound aircraft technology including breaking through the Mu-1 Barrier in June of 2005. Carter has completed a new Personal Air Vehicle (PAV) prototype. An overview of the PAV flight-testing and its' capabilities will be given plus an update on Carter's future plans.
